TWITTER AS A TOOL OF POLITICAL COMMUNICATION
Author: Manpreet Kaur

India is a democratic country with a federal structure. Sovereignty is a vital feature of Indian democracy. Each citizen lives under two sets of laws: the laws of the centre and the laws of the concerned state. (Indian history and the contemporary world, 2020) Punjab, as a border state, holds a unique position in India. The main political narrative in the state, both on the ground and in the virtual world, has been heavily dominated by the intense rivalry between the Indian National Congress on the one hand and its traditional bête noire, the Shiromani Akali Dal, on the other, which had an earlier alliance in Punjab with the Bhartiya Janata Party. While the farm bill issue finally led to the BJP losing its oldest ally, the Shiromani Akali Dal. The Aam Admi Party, the third force in the state, was the one who started the social media trends in Punjab politics, which helped them in their election campaign and to attain a landslide victory in the state of Punjab after winning elections in New Delhi. The Lok Sabha 2019 election was very important, as Twitter as well as other social media sites witnessed drastic changes in the election trend. The tweets by the prominent leaders underline what the policymakers in Punjab think about different issues, agendas, and problems. We intend to analyse the content that is posted by the prominent leaders of Punjab on their Twitter handles. The main aim is to study the narrative formed by the party in power and how it was supported or challenged by the other parties. Spanning over 12 months, from July 2018 to June 2019, we focused on analysing the monthly changes and trends in the rhetoric created by the eminent leaders and parties in Punjab. The paramount task was to examine the effect of a tweet broadcast by a leader in the public domain.

THE BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY: TRANSFORMING SUPPLY CHAIN TRACEABILITY AND TRUST
Author: Prakash Divakaran, Vandana Mishra Chaturvedi

To solve issues of trust and traceability in the supply chain, blockchain technology has emerged as a game-changer. Lack of transparency, counterfeiting, inefficient procedures, and trust deficiencies are only some of the problems plaguing the conventional supply chain systems. Blockchain's unique set of capabilities may completely revamp SCM, making it more efficient, transparent, and secure. In this study, we investigate how blockchain technology might improve transparency and trust in supply chains. Decentralization, transparency, immutability, and consensus procedures are introduced as the first building blocks of the blockchain. The rest of the article digs into the particular uses of blockchain in supply chain management, demonstrating its capacity to increase transparency, decrease fraud, boost productivity, and cultivate trust among all parties involved. Scalability, interoperability, data privacy, and regulatory compliance are just few of the issues that are discussed in this article as major obstacles to deploying blockchain-based supply chain solutions. It delves into the different blockchain frameworks and platforms that are already in use for practical supply chain applications. Food traceability, pharmaceutical supply chains, high-end items, and sustainable sourcing are just few of the application cases for blockchain in supply chain management that are investigated in this study. These examples illustrate the practical applications of blockchain technology, such as improved visibility, real-time tracking, product identification, and the elimination of counterfeit items. The study also discusses the benefits and drawbacks of using blockchain technology to increase transparency and trust in the supply chain. Current initiatives to solve scalability problems, include IoT devices, and build industry-wide standards for blockchain implementation are discussed.

AWARENESS AND USE OF RESEARCH SUPPORT SERVICES BY RESEARCHERS: A STUDY OF IIT ROPAR (PUNJAB)
Author: Sukhdeep Kaur, Navkiran Kaur

In the emerging information society, creation of information is an important aspect and research helps in creating information. Libraries and librarians are assuming crucial role in supporting research through diverse means. To align with the changing research paradigm, libraries of all types across the globe are undertaking measures to modernize their operations and embrace a wider range of research support initiatives. Research support encompasses a variety of services, resources, and assistance that are offered to researchers with the aim of facilitating their work and improving the quality, efficiency, and impact of their research endeavors. The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) being the advanced institutes of the country and engaged in quality education and research can provide better preview of these services. The present study aims to examine the research support services offered and their awareness and use among researchers of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Ropar which is one of the leading IITs on north India. The study found that majority of the users visit the library to find research material and to use its space for study. While users are using and expressing satisfaction with majority of research support services being offered, the library should focus on strengthening less used services. The study concludes with suggestions to improve the use of resources and services and provide valuable insights for the authorities to enhance their ability to meet the changing and diverse needs of their users more effectively.

WOMEN’S NEGOTIATION WITH PATRIARCHY IN ANITA NAIR AND ANURADHA MARWAH’S FICTION
Author: Abhishek Yadav

ABSTRACT
This study examines women’s negotiation with patriarchy in the fiction of Anita Nair and
Anuradha Marwah, focusing on how their narratives illuminate female subjectivity,
resistance, and resilience within Indian socio-cultural contexts. Drawing on feminist literary
theories—liberal, radical, socialist, postcolonial, and intersectional—the research explores
common themes such as autonomy, desire, identity, and rebellion while analyzing the
narrative strategies and feminist aesthetics employed by both authors. Nair’s fiction often
foregrounds personal journeys of emancipation through intimate portrayals of women’s inner
lives, whereas Marwah emphasizes structural critique, institutionalized oppression, and
collective resistance. The comparative analysis highlights that negotiation with patriarchy in
their works does not culminate in absolute liberation but manifests as an ongoing process of
resistance, accommodation, and transformation. By situating these writers within the larger
landscape of Indian English feminist literature, the study contributes to a deeper
understanding of how women’s struggles are represented and reimagined in literature, while
also identifying gaps for future scholarship that could expand to other South Asian women
writers and intersections with queer and feminist theory.
Keywords: Women’s negotiation, patriarchy, feminist literary theory, Anita Nair, Anuradha
Marwah, autonomy, identity, rebellion, feminist aesthetics, Indian English literature.
