A STUDY ON ELDERLY WOMEN AS A MARGINALIZED GROUP IN BENGALURU CITY
Author: Anupama. S & Nagaraju H.S

ABSTRACT
The population of senior citizens in India is 153 million, with Bengaluru contributing 10% of
the total. Senior women across India face numerous problems and challenges, but the
situation is even worse for elderly women. In countries around the world, people aged 60
years and above comprise less than 20 percent of the population. The progression of the
elderly is also related to the family system, literacy, and income of aged people. Due to a
reduction in fertility rates and the adoption of small family norms, there has been an increase
in the percentage of elderly citizens as dependents. Elderly people are facing numerous
problems like loneliness, health issues, and economic challenges. Both private health sectors
and governments have taken systematic measures to improve public health. Though India has
made significant progress in providing better hospitals, there is still a long way to go in fully
addressing the healthcare needs of its population. Most senior citizens, especially women,
face chronic health issues like arthritis, dementia, vision problems, bone density loss, and
others, making them equally dependent in life, particularly concerning their socio-economic
well-being. This study intends to analyse the socio-economic and healthcare problems of
elderly women in Bangalore city. Most senior citizens, especially women, are neglected by
their families when their children are busy with work, leading to addiction to television or
other media, which in turn affects their family life. Women whose children live abroad suffer
from dementia and other psychological issues.

BSTRACT:
The effect of thermal stratification on unsteady mixed convection flow and heat transfer of an
incompressible electrically conducting fluid adjacent to a vertical flat surface has been
studied in the presence of a transverse magnetic field. The nonlinear governing equations and
their associated boundary conditions are initially changed into dimensionless forms by
pseudo - similarity variables. The resulting system of equations is then solved numerically
using the Keller-box method. The numerical results obtained are compared for steady case
with the previously published results and are found to be in good agreement. Further in this
study, the effect of stratification parameter and unsteady parameter on local skin friction and
heat transfer coefficients in the regime of buoyancy assisting flow are discussed. An analysis
of the results obtained shows that the flow field is influenced appreciably by unsteady
parameter and thermal stratification parameter. Also, it is found that thermal
stratification ( ) causes considerable undershoot in the temperature profiles.

NEED OF GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP IN THE ERA OF GLOBALIZATION
Author: Dinesha A V

ABSTRACT
In the contemporary epoch of globalization, the planet has become progressively
interconnected due to advancements in technology, communication, and trade practices. This
intricate interconnectedness has facilitated a closer relationship among individuals, cultures,
and nations than ever previously experienced; however, it has concurrently engendered
multifaceted global challenges such as climate change, socioeconomic inequality, migration
issues, and conflicts. Within this framework, the notion of global citizenship has acquired
substantial importance. Global citizenship underscores an affiliation with a larger human
community that transcends national borders, advocating for principles such as empathy,
appreciation for diversity, social justice, and collective responsibility. It prompts individuals
to contemplate global issues while engaging in local actions, thus promoting collaboration
and comprehension across diverse cultures. Education aimed at fostering global citizenship is
vital for cultivating responsible and active global citizens capable of contributing to
sustainable development and peace initiatives. Consequently, in the context of globalization,
the nurturing of global citizenship is not merely advantageous—it is imperative for the
establishment of a more equitable, inclusive, and harmonious global society.

EMPOWER EDUCATION TO ENRICH FUTURE THROUGH SKILL DEVELOPMENT
Author: Jayaraju R. & Sunil Kumar S.

ABSTRACT
Education is no longer confined to the transmission of knowledge; it is about preparing
learners with the right skills to face the challenges of the 21st century. Edu Vision 2035,
inspired by the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, stresses the importance of skill
development as the foundation for empowering individuals and transforming society. Skillbased learning equips children with creativity, problem-solving, communication, and
technical expertise, making them capable of thriving in an evolving global economy.
Methods such as project-based learning, experiential learning, internships, role play, peer
learning, and the integration of technology enrich classroom practices and provide students
with opportunities to apply knowledge in real-world contexts. By adopting these approaches,
education not only enhances employability but also nurtures innovation, entrepreneurship,
and social responsibility. This paper explores the meaning of skill development, its benefits,
government initiatives, challenges, strategies, and the methods of teaching skills that will
enable children to settle, present, and enrich their talents for a brighter future.

ENVIRONMENTAL RADIATION EXPOSURE IN AGRICULTURAL SOILS FROM KANAKAPURA, KARNATAKA, INDIA
Author: CG Poojitha, Prathima M N & BS Rohini

ABSTRACT
This study evaluated the activity concentrations of naturally occurring radionuclides—
uranium-238 (²³⁸U), thorium-232 (²³²Th), and potassium-40 (⁴⁰K)—in agricultural soils from
Kanakapura Taluk, Ramanagara District, Karnataka, India. Fifteen soil samples were
collected from different agricultural locations and analyzed using a NaI(Tl) gamma-ray
spectrometer. The mean activity concentrations were found to be 29 ± 1.4 Bq/kg for ²³⁸U, 45
± 2.0 Bq/kg for ²³²Th, and 390 ± 15 Bq/kg for ⁴⁰K. The mean absorbed dose rate was 52 ± 3.0
nGy/h, and the corresponding outdoor annual effective dose equivalent (AEDE) was 0.06 ±
0.01 mSv/y, both below the global averages reported by UNSCEAR (2000). The calculated
radiological hazard indices were within the permissible limits, indicating that the soils pose
no significant radiological health risk to farmers or residents. The results provide baseline
data for natural background radiation in agricultural soils of Kanakapura, aiding future
environmental monitoring and radiation safety assessments in southern Karnataka.

LABOUR WELFARE REFORMS: A STUDY OF EPFO POLICY CHANGES AND THEIR SOCIOECONOMIC EFFECTS
Author: Varadaraja S.

ABSTRACT:
Labour welfare reforms in India have evolved to balance industrial growth with social
protection for workers. The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has been at the
center of this evolution, shaping the structure of contributory social security for millions of
formal sector employees. This study examines key EPFO policy changes and their
socioeconomic effects on labor welfare, employment stability, and household security. The
focus is on reforms introduced over the past decade, particularly the digital transformation
through the Universal Account Number (UAN), the expansion of electronic compliance
systems, and the modernization of pension and withdrawal policies. The research highlights
how these reforms have improved portability, transparency, and access to provident fund
benefits, thereby strengthening the financial resilience of working households. Simplified
digital processes have reduced administrative delays, minimized leakages, and enhanced trust
among workers. Policy adjustments allowing partial withdrawals and faster claims have also
helped employees manage financial shocks, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, these benefits come with tradeoffs in retirement adequacy and fiscal sustainability.
The socioeconomic effects of these reforms are not uniform across sectors or demographics.
Women, migrant, and contract workers have benefited unevenly, depending on their level of
formalization and digital access. Despite these challenges, EPFO reforms represent a
significant shift in India’s approach to labor welfare—from fragmented, paper-based
administration to an integrated digital ecosystem. By aligning social security delivery with
technology, transparency, and portability, EPFO has contributed meaningfully to the broader
agenda of inclusive and sustainable labor welfare reform in India.

ABSTRACT
Physical fitness is the capability of the body to carry out daily activities without experiencing
physical or mental strain. Physical Fitness refers to a condition of health and wellness. This
Physical Fitness serves as the primary foundation for all sports activities and facilitates
improved athletic performance and success. Daily physical activities not only strengthen
muscles but also enhance an individual's work performance. All athletes engage in
conditioning exercises (physical fitness) pertinent to their specific sports and games, which
naturally enhances both their physical and mental capabilities, ultimately aiding their sports
performance. Maintaining consistency in physical fitness activities can enhance not only our
physical health but also our mental well-being. This enhanced mindset boosts our confidence,
determination, and challenges to validate ourselves. Consistent physical fitness activities aid

ELPM: EDUPRENEURIAL LEADERSHIP PREDICTION MODEL
Author: Umamaheswari.D, Jaisree M K & Madhumitha P

ABSTRACT
This study presents a novel approach Edupreneurial Leadership Prediction Model that uses a
machine learning based framework which has been specifically designed for the
identification of the leadership potential in the educational entrepreneurship. Most of the
traditional methods use the concept of subjective judgment and prolonged observation. The
proposed model leverages the data-driven techniques which can be used to enhance and
improve the accuracy and the performance efficiency of the model. This model uses
clustering algorithms to group similar candidate profiles and then applies a Random Forest
classifier to predict the leadership qualities of an individual. To uncover the hidden patterns
in the data association rule mining is used which also improves the feature selection and the
predictive analytics of the model. The incorporation of VADER sentiment analysis to access
the written reports leverages deep insights into a candidate’s attitude and communication
styles. This framework is built on Python and scikit-learn which includes modules for
evaluating the educational backgrounds, entrepreneurial experience, personality traits and the
contextual factors. This allows the advantage of customization across various educational
institutions and universities thereby demonstrating a higher accuracy. The future
enhancements include connecting the professional networking platforms with adaptive
learning mechanisms for continuous improvement. This model supports informed decision
making in the educational sector by transforming the leadership identification into a fast datadriven process.

A STUDY ON INCLUSIVE EDUCATION
Author: Mahesha B

INTRODUCTION:
Inclusive education is an approach to schooling in which students with many different kinds of disabilities and learning needs are educated in classes with non-disabled and typically developing students. In an inclusive arrangement, students who need additional supports and services spend most of their time with their non-disabled peers rather than in separate classrooms or schools. This article begins with a brief consideration of the ways inclusive education has been defined and an exploration of inclusion’s roots in broader movements for civil rights in democratic societies. This is followed by a discussion of the challenges of managing an inclusive classroom, along with several strategies that can help teachers address these challenges through the creation of a “culture of inclusion.”

DEVELOPMENT OF SPORTS ARENAS - ITS IMPACT ON FITNESS & SPORTS PARTICIPATION AMONG YOUTHS IN KARNATAKA FOR PROMOTING HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT
Author: Lakshmeesha B.N., Pashupathi

The development of sports arenas has emerged as a pivotal component of youth engagement in fitness and athletics, particularly in rapidly developing regions such as Karnataka, India. This study explores the impact of modern sports infrastructure on promoting fitness, structured participation in sports, and the holistic development of young individuals. Karnataka has witnessed significant investments in multipurpose stadiums, indoor training centres, and community-level arenas in both urban and semi-urban settings. These facilities not only expand access to structured physical activity but also serve as inclusive platforms for talent identification, social interaction, and the nurturing of life skills such as discipline, teamwork, and resilience. Drawing on field surveys, interviews with youth participants, and secondary data on sports infrastructure expansion, this research highlights the positive correlation between access to arenas and increased participation in fitness and competitive sports among school and college students. The findings suggest that well-designed arenas function beyond spaces for athletic training; they become cultural hubs fostering community cohesion and youth empowerment. However, challenges such as unequal access in rural regions, affordability barriers, and lack of professional guidance remain critical. The paper argues that sustainable investment in sports infrastructure, when integrated with policy initiatives and grassroots programs, can significantly enhance physical well-being, reduce sedentary lifestyles, and contribute to the holistic development of youth. The Karnataka model, with its blend of tradition and modernization, offers valuable insights for global discussions on youth fitness, sports participation, and inclusive development through infrastructure-led interventions.

TERRORISM - COMPARISION BETWEEN STRUCTURE OF TERRORISM IN 20TH AND 21ST CENTURY
Author: Krishan Rajendra Bharath

“Terrorism arises due to political and government instability and youths are attracted by enemy countries”. Terrorism is not a new issue it is oldest form of problem among countries. In the early 20th century the individual terrorist groups are formed in Austria assassinated in 1914. During the First World War Irish volunteers seized parts of central Dublin in the Easter rising. After the first world worm it is increased in Middle East. In the 1930s several countries adopted what is termed state terrorism. In 1988 a bomb exploded onboard pan am flight 103, over the Scottish town of Lockerbie. Terror organizations also began looking at targeted Temple visitors. In 1994 Japanese terrorists made use of biological weapons in Matsumoto. In 21st century, in act 2002 Chetthnan rebels took 850 people hostage in a Moscow Theatre. In 2008, Islamic. Terrorists launched a series of attacks in the Indian country. Terrorism is not new and even though it has been used since the early times of recorded history, it can be relatively hard to define terrorist.
